Oh, dear, all is quiet on the blogging front lately. My apologies. I hope to be back up and predictable now. This coming right after I was hoping to go to three posts a week. :)
What is happening on the sewing front is so multifaceted. I am still working on refining my skirt pattern. I am also taking an online class on creating digital sewing patterns. That way I can get this pattern farther along in production once I get the quirks worked out.
My Civil War dress is still hanging on my dress form waiting for more work. It is rather high on my to do list of sewing projects, but life has been crazy lately so trying to work on it with my friend has been difficult.
Also really high on my sewing list is this dress pattern. My friend Miriam (from the Color Bearer) is going to use this pattern to make a dress for a 1940's dance that we and another friend are planning. They may have also convinced me to make a dress myself. I would make a floor length gown in burgundy.
Oh, and then of course having fun dressing up and going to tea parties!
What have you been up to?
Sarah loves to sew, learn more about sewing, and create items with a vintage flair. Her arch enemy is clipping curves, and she has a tolerable relationship with the seam ripper.
