So you've made or found the vintage dress of your dreams........only to realize that none of your accessories match. (frown) What do you do? You buy more accessories of course!
Merry Christmas to all my readers! Have a wonderful Christmas with family and friends celebrating the birth of the Savior!
A really good Black Friday deal and a Christmas present from Grandma convinced me that it was time to invite a dress form to come work for me. Her name is Edna after Edna Mode from The Incredibles. (Edna was a caricature of Edith Head.)
I wouldn't be blogging here without the inspiration of other creative bloggers. So I thought I would share about the amazing people who inspire me.
I know this blog is about sewing and craft projects, but I can't leave today without saying something about the history of this day. I hope that Americans will always remember the bravery and courage of the generation that faced and fought WWII.
“Yesterday, December 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - The United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan...As Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense...With confidence in our armed forces - with the unbounded determination of our people - we will gain the inevitable triumph - so help us God." FDR to Congress on December 8th.
"You ask what is our aim? I can answer in one word: Victory.
Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors.
Victory however hard and long the road may be.
For without victory there is no survival." Winston Churchill
Sarah loves to sew, learn more about sewing, and create items with a vintage flair. Her arch enemy is clipping curves, and she has a tolerable relationship with the seam ripper.
