I have the first pattern draft of this skirt sketch of mine done. I am ready to do my first complete test of the pattern. I still have a lot to do before the pattern is ready to sell. I can't help but look through my other sketches and dream about what I want to work on next both in pattern drafting and projects.
This is my sketch of what my Civil War dress is going to look like, at least I hope. :) If you missed reading about the beginning of the project you can go here.
This is a design that I would possibly like to use to make a Christmas dress. Deep red velvet top with an ivory skirt with chiffon overlay.
This is another dress that I would like to make with chiffon overlay. :)
This is a more recent skirt design of my that I am toying with drafting. The skirt panel seams are hidden by a length of gathered fabric stitched down the center.
Last, but not least, this is another dress design that I would like to draft. I actually have the fabric I want to use to make a final dress after the testing phases of drafting.
Which sketch is your favorite?
What would you wear?
Which do you think I should start drafting?
Sarah loves to sew, learn more about sewing, and create items with a vintage flair. Her arch enemy is clipping curves, and she has a tolerable relationship with the seam ripper.
