I had some fun at the Depot again when I was in Indiana visiting family. I had some fun in the sewing notions and the clothing department.
I just had to buy some buttons when they were only $.10 a button. Buttons are just so expensive. I couldn't pass up zippers at $.50 either (some of them are metal), and I got some elastic and rayon seam binding.
While looking for some buttons, I found some plastic belt buckles. I want to do have some self fabric belts with the 1940's dresses I plan to make.
I found a few more vintage crochet and knitting patterns like last year. I can't resist about anything that is 1940's era. While I am not exactly sure on dates, the pictures look from the 40's. Home Favorites in Crochet is dated 1944.
And now that I am back home again, I have a lot of projects that I want to get to get done. So hopefully I can share some more finished projects shortly!
Sarah loves to sew, learn more about sewing, and create items with a vintage flair. Her arch enemy is clipping curves, and she has a tolerable relationship with the seam ripper.
