In the midst of lots of busyness, I am working on another test of the Hope skirt pattern. This time I can reveal that I am using the mystery fabric of a month ago! (What's This) I know I have been very rude to keep you all waiting over a month when you all made such lovely guesses. Some of which I just might have to make!
As a reminder this is a stretch denim, so with the last skirt I had trouble with the curved waistband stretching out, so I interfaced the waistband lining on this one. Because of the way I have been doing the construction though, the outside waistband doesn't get sewn to the inside waistband till nearly the end and so there is that potential of stretch. I am left with a bit of a conundrum. I could just always interface the waistband, (but I absolutely detest iron on interfacing, and you would have to use that to prevent stretch) or I make the waistband piece smaller to account for the stretch, but if someone wants to use interfacing for other reasons their waist might be to small. !?!?!
I would love to hear any piece of advice you might have!
