I finished these all up weeks ago and haven't posted for ages. Oops. Sometimes
This was the first one I made. I wasn't going to be as dissapointed if something didn't work out. I choose to draft a 3/4 circle skirt. It seemed the easiest skirt to make. The fabric is a cotton jersey, so it doesn't have a whole lot of stretch to it. One thing I learned from this one was to shorten the bodice.
The next three were made of double brushed poly. This one was also the first try for a v-neck.
Most of the seams were done by the serger.
I love top stitching the binding down!
The burgundy is my favorite. I like the neckline and the pattern.
This one was finished last and had its issues. The neckline did not work as well as I thought, so it took longer to finish and take out and redo. As nice as the sweetheart looks from a distance, I think I am going to replace the bodice. I have enough fabric to do it. These dresses are supposed to be comfortable and if I am worrying about a gaping neckline, it just isn't comfy.
Which one is your favorite?
