As the title suggests this post is a completely random smattering of facts, ideas and opinions.
For starters, the photo above is of a quilt that I was paid to make about a year and a half ago. It is certainly something to get to do the thing you love, but it takes you to a whole other level to get paid to do what you love. :)
Lately, I have been having at some of my Craftsy classes. I have been working my way through Suzy Furrer's classes on pattern drafting. I am working through watching them, and then I will go back and watch them again and actually apply the knowledge. I really need to keep working on the skirt pattern that I mentioned here.
Next random fact. I recently made a custom order off of Etsy. I ordered a custom neck pillow from My Nuzzy House. Carolyn did a wonderful job of working with me to find out what I wanted, making suggestions, and overall just being a great communicator. She had my pillow done within 24hrs of my first contacting her and kindly let me know when it would ship out. I would highly recommend checking her store out if you are in need of a cute pillow for a long road trip. (Which was my excuse since I am taking two road trips this summer :)
I also have some new fabric that I ordered that I will have to share here on the blog shortly, only some of it is currently being washed. Otherwise I would introduce it. :)
Have a wonderful Memorial Day!
Sarah loves to sew, learn more about sewing, and create items with a vintage flair. Her arch enemy is clipping curves, and she has a tolerable relationship with the seam ripper.
