So apparently, Miriam and I just party whenever our parents are away. I invited her over for the evening to do some more sewing. It was nice to have some company when my younger siblings went to bed. As you can tell from my instagram post, it was backwards progress for me!
The armholes did not get checked after the sleeves got put in, and they were a little binding at the front. So I spent something like three hours removing the sleeves and piping and pinning and repinning them to a better spot. It isn't perfect, but better than it was, and I couldn't move things anymore without the sleeve not fitting.
Miriam worked on the lining, cutting down the lining for the sheer look, adding a facing to it, and attaching the hooks and eyes.
This project is moving along, although I was hoping to make more actual progress. :)
What do you like most about this project of mine?
Sarah loves to sew, learn more about sewing, and create items with a vintage flair. Her arch enemy is clipping curves, and she has a tolerable relationship with the seam ripper.
