Last week I received a package in the mail from Chronically Vintage's Etsy shop. I have been getting to know Jessica Cangiano through her blog, the wonderful comments we exchange. and through email. I have ordered from her before and was very happy to do so again.
Jessica does a wonderful job making her customers feel special. From the handwritten note to the impeccable packaging of each item and the extra gifts she sends, she excels in customer satisfaction. I should add that each item is placed in a small zip-lock bag and wrapped in bubble wrap before being placed in its box.
This brooch captivated me on several counts. For one, it is most likely a piece of WWII sweetheart jewelry. Since I am really into that era and time period and sweetheart jewelry, it was really enticing. If that wasn't enough, the heart charm is a locket, and lockets are "my one weakness". Combine WWII sweetheart jewelry with a locket, and you have me hook, line, and sinker.
This lovely little brooch was one of the gifts Jessica included in my package. I have to say again how much I love lockets. I love that this one looks like a book as I am a bit of a book worm.
This other brooch that I ordered is likely a unique specimen of sweetheart jewelry, one that I will be proud to wear for living history events. It is interesting how the pin bar looks like a pair of bullets.
This pair of screw back earrings is the other gift Jessica sent me.
I hope you read this post, Jessica. I want you to know how much I will enjoy these vintage items, and how much I appreciate the care you take with each and every order. Thank you so much!
