I have been working on a variety of different projects lately. Not all of them are sewing projects.
This feathered (well not feathered) friend is a pincushion that I made for a friend's birthday. It is stuffed with rice instead of polyfil since it is a pincushion. The beak and comb are made from felt. The main body of the bird is from flannel from my stash. If you would like to make your own, the Free pattern can be found here.
This little birdie is actually from a couple of months ago, but while I am on the subject of birds and pincushions I thought I would add it too. This birdie is also stuffed with rice, and is rather small for a pincushion, but it being so cute makes up for the lack of size. Again, the free pattern can be found here. This birdie pattern also makes great Christmas ornaments.
While this is not a sewing project, I just had to include it. A friend is expecting her first baby in January and so I whipped up this baby cocoon for her. Want to make your own? You've guessed it another free pattern, click here.
Well that is all that I have for now, but next time I hope to show you some Christmas themed projects I am working on.
Sarah loves to sew, learn more about sewing, and create items with a vintage flair. Her arch enemy is clipping curves, and she has a tolerable relationship with the seam ripper.
